Laziness

This has been a wonderful weekend, despite the fact that this is the second weekend in a row that we've had to cancel a trip home to the sweet upstate of SC.  We've been lazy.  A stay-in-your-pajamas-kind-of-lazy.  We haven't really left the house, or the couch for that matter.  And I love it.

I've been productive though.  I reopened my Esty shop.  {Get excited!}  I have many delightful new items that I'm in the process of adding.  It will probably take me a few days to get them all uploaded, but that's ok.  I feel well rested.

Wanna see some of the new things that are on their way to Benedetto?  Here are some pictures...

Keep checking the shop often for more things!

Twins

It never fails.
Every year, I always get asked the same question.
"What is it like to be a twin?"

Usually, my answer is always the same.
I love it.  I've never known it any other way.
I wouldn't want to share this day with anyone else!
Happy Birthday Judi!

A learning experience.

That is what we have decided to call the last two months of our lives.

I apologize for not updating you sooner on life at the farm.  We didn't have any internet connection out there.  Or cable.  And we barely had phone service.

But we don't live at the farm anymore.

So, we have all those things again.  Because we are back in the same place we were before we moved to the farm.

Confused?  Let me enlighten you...

We moved to the farm.  We farmed it up.  We decided farm livin' was not the life for us.  We looked for apartments, and even considered buying a house.  Then we moved back to seminary housing where it all began.

You are probably wondering why we decided to leave the farm.  And I wish I could give you one really good reason.  Saying that we didn't feel like the farm was where we were supposed to be, seems to be too simple of an excuse.  However, if you have ever been in a place, or a situation for that matter, that you undoubtably know is not the place you need to be, then you can understand why we could not stay.

Now, it probably would have been a lot easier if we had decided that the farm was not where we needed to be, before we moved everything into the house.  Right?  But that's not how we do things around here.  We like things to be complicated, and we like a little adventure.

It took me a while to blog about our decision to move back because I've had mixed emotions about everything.  Thanks for your understanding and patience though!  If I see you in person, please ask me to share some farm stories with you!  It was nothing less than an adventure!  And now that I'm finally settled in again, I can get back to my not so regular blogging schedule.

It's been an interesting few months.  It's definitely been a learning experience.

Sunset @ the farm.
